Everything started when Mr. Remi Tack (+) ended his flax activity at the end of the 1960s and concentrated on a new activity, namely “service-cleaning”, where he was still one of the pioneers for Car- & Truck wash in his region.

Quickly this service was expanded with tank(truck) cleaning. And in the following years, a professional tank cleaning was developed.
In the meantime the 2nd generation also became active in the company. The new impulse lead to the purchase of other subsidairies, which expanded the service cleaning to a ‘Total Tank Service’.

When in the late 80s more and more environment issues came up, Tack was once again one of the first to put waste-water-treatment into use.

In the late 90s, Tom Tack – 3rd generation and being an undertaking youngster - saw that there was a rising demand, within the business, for industrial packaging (IBCs & drums) cleaning and trade.

Driven by the family-spirit: “always continuously moving forward”, he took the initiative to re-start an ex-drum reconditioning facility, that had gone bankrupt earlier.

With some support of his family, he could start/create the company REMI TACK, as a 100% independent family-owned, subsidiary of the Tack Group.

Supported by the knowledge the Tack family has in the tankcleaning- and waste water business, Tom Tack could quickly expand the young company, which – in the meanwhile – has become an independent, professionalized reconditioning company operating in the centre of western Europe (BeNeLux, France, Germany, UK, …) and situated nearby some main seaports (Antwerp, Rotterdam, Dunkerque, Le Havre, …) and industrial areas (such as the German Ruhr area, the French “L’Oise”, etc…).

During the years 2000, the company obtained the quality label ISO9001. And was the first company in Belgium being able to execute period (2,5 year) testing on (light) IBCs.
Simultaneously we renewed our environmental authorization, in order to execute this kind of recycling activity.

Over the last years REMI TACK has become a real full-service provider within the IBC (= industrial liquid packaging) business.
